With the autumn season officially here, your clients might be looking for some ideas and inspiration for fall landscaping ideas. With the fall being a time of year that many people embrace, they often want to get in the spirit by creating landscaping displays that highlight everything there is to love about the season. This is particularly true at commercial properties, where landscaping displays can draw visitors, residents, or guests in.

Joseph Barnes, marketing director for a national landscaping provider says that the front entrance is the most obvious and impactful area to consider fall landscaping ideas. This is where you’ll get the most wow factor and be able to create enticing aesthetic appeal.

But other locations on a commercial property that could benefit from fall landscaping include any employee gathering areas at office or building complexes, intersections that get a lot of car and foot traffic, and even building interiors such as lobbies.

“Any area that is a gathering space or that people tend to walk or drive by could be a good location for fall landscaping enhancements,” Barnes says.

It never hurts to make suggestions to property or facility managers who might be looking for some inspiration.

There are a variety of flowers that can work well in a front entrance flower bed. While mums are valued for being hardy and available in a range of colors and are definitely a top pick, they aren’t your only choice, Barnes says.

“Ornamental kale or cabbage, various ornamental grasses, pansies, and violas are all popular fall flower choices and can work nicely with mums,” he says.

9. Outdoor kitchens: If you contact your favorite landscape designer before the kids get out of school for the season, you can plan or build an outdoor kitchen to extend your living space. A Weber or Wolf grill can work, or a more elaborate food preparation area may be what you’re looking for to complete the pool area.

8. Outdoor showers: Outdoor showers aren’t necessarily the quaint and simple convenience they were when we were kids. However, the proper design will add convenience and style while allowing the sands of Main Beach to stay outside. 7. Decks: The choices of wooden decks available are plentiful. One of the more popular is imported from South America, Ipe wood (also known as Cambara Decking, Brazilian Walnut, Greenheart, Jatoba, Purpleheart, Massaranduba, and Ironwood). It has superior strength, density, hardness, stability, and durability. Of course, mahogany, teak, and other fine solutions are available. 6. Patios: Beautiful stone patios are extremely popular. Bluestone is the choice of many and thought to be the classic Hamptons look. The knock on bluestone is that it can become too hot to navigate with bare feet. There are dozens of viable alternatives available. Speak to your landscape professional about the best and most attractive patio solutions. 5. Pergolas: Of the many beautiful additions to your outdoor living space, the pergola may be my favorite and the most versatile. Pergolas can be quite simple or multifunctional and incredibly attractive within the confines of any landscape. 4. Plantings: Almost limitless options are available. From mature plantings to accentuating the pool and patio area with a few boxwoods, there is always time to spruce up your backyard space. A simple meditation garden may be the answer for a quiet summer night.

3. Fencing and gates: Privacy and functionality merge with the proper fence and gate. Bring your pool and backyard into compliance with an attractive fence supplemented by a natural fence to add to the ambiance of your private gateway. 2. Landscape lighting: Landscape lighting is one of the more overlooked details. The proper lighting can bring your home and landscape alive. Countless “before and after” pictures have demonstrated to all of us the power of stylish and appropriate lighting. 1. Tree pruning and removals: Maintenance of existing plantings is essential to your landscape. It is amazing how a little TLC can transform your yard.

Hardscapes are constructed using structural elements and materials such as rocks, wood, concrete, or pea gravel. There are many uses for hardscapes, including walking trails, patios, rock walls, decks, and much more!

When selecting a hardscape company, look for one that utilizes good design and has a variety of materials available. Whether you are looking to add a stone path or a massive rock waterfall, a company out there has the necessary experience and vision. To build stunning hardscapes on a budget, consider these seven tips for creating the perfect landscape design at an affordable price!

Time of Year

Services for hardscape construction will vary in price depending on the time of year. The later the year it gets, the more costly your hardscape will be. This is because many businesses are working at capacity and must do as much work as they can during the warmer months to close up shop once winter hits. Seasonal materials such as stone, fallen branches, and mulch are all items that must be acquired when they are fresh and relatively inexpensive.

Size of Project

Depending on the project you are looking to have done, assessing the size of your hardscape project will help you know what materials to acquire. For example, if you are looking to create a landscaped rock wall for a small deck or patio, purchasing large stone bags may be more economical and efficient than buying smaller ones.

Business Reputation

Reputation is another important aspect of finding the right hardscape construction company for your project. Look for a business that has received many positive reviews from its past and current customers. A business with a great reputation will have a way of attracting more customers, which leads to more reviews and likely better workmanship and is the right hardscaping service for your project.

Experience

When you decide to hire a hardscape construction company, look for those with years of experience under their belts. Some hardscape construction companies enter the industry with no experience, but something about the experience ensures high-quality labor and timely completion of your task. Experienced companies know what materials they need and how long your project will take without overcharging or having you wait longer than necessary.

Hardscape Project Type

The kind of project you are looking to complete will determine the hardscape company you need for your project. For example, hiring a major construction company is no need if you want a simple walkway or patio. However, if your goal is something more splendid, such as an arched rock wall that spans over 100 feet, you must hire a hardscape contractor with many years of experience and expertise.

Hardscaping companies are a great way to add beauty and beauty to your home. Although there is no “one size fits all” solution for choosing the right one for you, these tips should help narrow down your search and put the final step of finding the right hardscape construction company much easier.
